Doris Mills
Biography
Doris considers herself an
artist in training and looks forward to experimenting with new art mediums as
they present themselves.
Over the last five years Doris has concentrated on using watercolours and has
studied under various teachers of the art. Her main passion is scenery and she
loves a quiet country side, thick green forest, the unique diversification of
skies, winding streams and the splendor each presents itself by the change of
the four seasons. Her passion for travel also stimulates her imagination to
portray the wonderful spirit of different parts of the world.
Doris grew up in Southwestern Ontario on the shores of Lake Huron and spent some earlier years in Western Canada before returning to Ontario and discovered her love for art. She experimented on and off with different mediums while pursuing a career and college. Not until retirement and moving to London with her husband David, did she seriously take on the challenge of portraying nature and loving the magic of watercolours.
Membership: Brush & Palette Club and the Lambeth Art Association.
