Carol Drudge

Biography

MEDIUM:  Watercolour

MEMBERSHIPS:  Brush and Palette Club

                                Gallery Painting Group

Ever since I was very young I have admired watercolour paintings and have been fascinated with the fluidity, transparency  and luminosity of the medium.  For many years I dreamed of someday painting with watercolours myself.  It has been in the last six years as I entered semi retirement that I have been finally able to make this dream a reality.

My desire is to express my experiences of light and beauty of the natural world through my paintings.

I have participated in numerous workshops led by many talented artists, taken courses at Haliburton School of the Arts as well as the Southhampton School of the Arts.  I continue to avail myself of ongoing training and inspiration by participating in the many workshops sponsored by the Gallery Painting Group and the Brush and Palette Club, and the Cambridge Centre for the Arts.

I have been painting for six years and have shown my work in numerous shows sponsored by the Gallery Painting Group and the Brush and Palette Club.  Since the fall of 2005, I have shown work at the Artworks Gallery on Wortley Road in London.  From September 25, 2006 to October 21, 2006, I had a solo show at the Strathroy Library in Strathroy.
